Project Description:
The Barbara Faron Residence, named after Federation of Organizations CEO, Barbara Faron, consists of a single nine-story low income building with a total of 117 units. The building’s exterior finishes include brick, fiber cement panels and waterproofing EIFS. There will be 71 units designated for formerly homeless in recovery from behavioral health conditions while the remaining 46 are to be designated for individuals and families who meet income eligibility requirements. The building will be located in Far Rockaway, Queens and is scheduled to be completed summer of 2023. The state of the art supportive housing will include 76 studio units in addition to 30 one bedroom units and 11 two bedroom units. The building features on –site laundry room, community room, exercise room, reading room with access to terrace with great views and 24/7 front desk and security personnel. The building will have two elevators and is conveniently located less than a block away from the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) and subway station.

Founded in 1972 for 50 years, Federation of Organizations has made it a mission to continue to serve and be a resource to help those in need within the communities of New York. Federation of Organizations has grown from a small nonprofit organization to a multi-faceted social service agency serving NYC, Nassau and Suffolk County. Throughout our CEO’s tenure, Barbara Faron has has lead by example and been the driving force for positive change within the agency and has helped Federation adapt and grow in an ever-changing healthcare system.
