Project Description:
Star Park Apartments is a $9M affordable housing development with supportive on-site supportive services. This three-story multi-family apartment complex is located on the site of the former Star Park baseball field, which the name and the interiors of the project pay homage to. The apartment complex consists of 50 one– and two– bedroom apartment units. Three units are fully accessible, adapted and move in ready for individuals with physical limitations and one unit is fully adapted and move in ready for individuals with a hearing or vision impairment. Through the partnership of Helio Health and CNY services, 25 units are reserved for individuals with severe mental illness. Amenities of the complex include a laundry facility, community room and off-street parking. There is also ample green space.

Community Impact:
Star Park Apartments provides housing for those with mental health needs and affordable housing for those who meet the income requirements. This project is transformational to the local community as the need for integrated supportive and affordable housing grows, Star Park Apartments is the first major housing development in Syracuse, NY to provide for that need. With the partnership of Helio Health and CNY Services, mental health residential services bring in a new affordable housing resource to the community.
