Project Description:
St. Philip Neri Apartments, located in two new buildings at 3069 and 3054 Villa Avenue, provides 186 affordable apartments, with 92 units for families with incomes 40% to 70% of Area Median Income (AMI) and 93 units for Supportive Housing Tenants served by the Catholic Charities Community Services Beacon of Hope Program. 56 of these supportive units are for individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and 37 are for families with a head of household with SMI. Located on a former play yard and parking lot at St. Philip Neri Church, these new buildings include on-site social services, a Youth Room for after-school and summer youth programs, large, welcoming lobby spaces, laundry rooms and a spacious garden at 3054 Villa. Design features include brick and metal-panel façade systems, composite wood lobby wall panels, energy-saving fixtures and appliances and aluminum storefront glass window walls.

Community Impact:
St. Philip Neri Apartments reuses previously vacant sites to provide permanent, stable and safe affordable housing to help families and individuals lead productive and fulfilled lives. On-site social services include a full complement of case workers to support tenants and 24-hour security. The buildings have been developed adhering to environmentally responsible and energy-efficient design.
