Project Description:
Access: Supports for Living has again partnered with Warwick Properties to build brand new, state-of-the-art affordable housing in the Town of Thompson in Sullivan County. Golden Ridge is a 360 unit, workforce and affordable housing development, located in the Town of Thompson. Of that 137 1 bedroom units are @ 50% area median income, 29 @ 30%, 22 @ 40%, and 92 @ 60%. The remaining units are two bedroom apartments. Of those units, 99 are developed in partnership with the New York State Office of Mental Health, Office of People with Developmental Disabilities, and the Empire State Supported Housing Initiative. The site consists of 8 three-story residential building. The residents of the Development have access to Central A/C, On-site Laundry Room, Security Cameras, Community Room, Computer Lab, On-site Management, Elevators and parking. All buildings are smoke-free. Supported Housing Staff Offices, and/or Property Management Staff offices are located in each of the buildings on the site. Surrounding land uses include shopping, banking, and access to public transportation. Healthcare provided by the local FQHC is less than two miles away.

Community Impact:
High housing costs combined with historical underdevelopment has created a perfect storm of over-priced, yet sub-standard housing throughout the region. With this project, Access Supports for Living, Devon Mgt. and Warwick properties is addressing this safe, secure and affordable housing crisis for residents of Sullivan County.
The anticipated impact of this development is to end homelessness for the people served and promote heath, recovery, and economic independence through meaningful employment. The services will include: affordable housing and housing subsidies as eligible, Intensive Care Management and shared care planning; support to manage physical and behavioral health conditions and support recovery, assistance to secure and maintain employment, direct assistance with managing responsibilities to maintain one’s home, and linkage to community services.
