On July 28, the New York Housing Conference hosted NYCHA Chair and CEO Gregory Russ for the July installment of our summer seminar series, produced by our Rising Leaders Network. At the webinar, Chair Russ announced a promising new plan to preserve the city’s public housing. NYCHA has been under threat of deterioration from disinvestment and insufficient federal funding for years and is currently operating under a federal monitoring agreement. NYCHA Chair Russ presented a new strategy to preserve all units in this important portfolio.
