In addition to NYHC’s own education and advocacy work, we have been working very closely with national efforts to protect HUD funding and the Housing Credit. NYHC is an affiliate of NHC, and a proud member of NLIHC and Action Campaign. Here are a few highlights of our nationally partnered events this year, some of which we organized with our local partners as well.
• As part of NLIHC’s ‘Our Homes, Our Voices’ Campaign to preserve HUD funding, NYHC collected tenants’ video and photo testimonials in Red Hook, Brooklyn & Syracuse with local partners (Red Hook Initiative and Greater Syracuse Tenants Network) and circulated them on Twitter. 
• As part of the ‘Our Home, Our Voices’ National Week of Housing Action we also collected nearly 300 letters from seniors in Rep Donovan’s district in support of HUD funding in partnership with Community Agency for Senior Citizens (CASC).
• NYHC is also actively participating in the #NoCuts Coalition advocating for HUD funding, organized by Community Voices Heard.
NYHC has advocated in briefings and meetings with the ACTION Campaign to protect and expand Housing Credits and Bonds.
