Located off Ridge Road, residents will enjoy neighborhood attractions and services, including, Towne Center at Webster Plaza, offering banking, shopping, restaurants and medical offices.
Through a joint venture agreement with ElderOne, Volunteers of America of Upstate New York (VOA) provides onsite case management, including medical screening, economic education and coordinates access to a variety of community services, including meals on wheels, transportation services, and Home Care services.
Community Impact:
VOA Cobblestone Place is an affordable senior apartment complex which serves elderly & the frail elderly homeless population. 30 housing units are reserved for frail elderly residents, with 18 units set aside for homeless individuals. The Project’s goal is to provide affordable housing to senior residents, enabling them to live independently within an environment that has a sense of community allowing them to age in place while reducing reliance on finite Medicaid resources. Housing problems for seniors are not caused by age alone; the health problems that may come with advancing age may cause people to lose their independence.
VOA’s onsite weekly to aid in coordinating services with ElderOne & residents. ElderOne provides medical & supportive services to qualified residents that enroll in its Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Program, which helps seniors who are considered nursing home eligible, continue to live independently in the community.
