Project Goals:
Gouverneur Place Apartments was developed to be an integrated living environment for low-income families and individuals with mental health disabilities.

Project Description:
Gouverneur Place is a seven-story, 68-unit building located in the Morrisania section of the Bronx. The $20.7 million development, funded through a public-private partnership, was completed in December 2016. It has 50 supportive studios, (7) 1-bedrooms, (8) 2-bedrooms and (2) 3-bedrooms in addition to a live-in Super. It offers residents a laundry room, computer lounge, community room, rear yard with seating and 24/7 security.

Community Impact:
This project transformed a prior vacant lot into a beautiful building helping to not only transform the site, but the block and surrounding area as well.

Organization Description:
Westhab, Inc was established in 1981 and is the largest non-profit provider of affordable and supportive housing in Westchester County. The organization has helped more than 5,000 homeless families and individuals move into permanent housing and has developed over 800 units of affordable housing. It also offers numerous youth programs and employment services.
