The WELL Building Standard: Integrating Health & Housing
The places where we live play a fundamental role in our health and wellness. Multifamily residential buildings represent a major opportunity to enhance people’s daily lives and their overall health and wellness. The WELL Building Standard (WELL) is an innovative performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact the health and wellness of the people who live, work, and learn in the buildings. It can improve residents’ respiratory wellness, sleep, and optimize cognitive and emotional health. This panel will provide an overview of the WELL Building Standard and discuss approaches to financing and designing an affordable WELL Multifamily Residential Building Project.
