Both House of Representatives Members Daniel Donovan (R-NY11) and Elise Stefanik (R-NY21) agreed today to cosponsor H.R. 1661, the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act.  This commonsense bipartisan legislation strengthens the tax credit and makes easier to leverage private funds to develop affordable housing for people at a diverse range of incomes. Having met with the staffers of both Members’ offices several times over the past few months to discuss the economic impact of housing tax credits and housing bonds across NY State and in their specific districts, we are happy to announce their cosponsorships. We thank both Rep. Donovan and Rep. Stefanik for their support and will continue to work with our housing coalition partners across the state to convey the importance of this housing tax credit legislation to other NY legislators.
