The New York Housing Conference Advisory Board yesterday hosted the New York Congressional Delegation for a strategy session to protect affordable housing from looming challenges. Rep. Yvette Clarke, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and Rep. Nydia Velázquez joined us along with staff from other offices includes Senator Schumer’s. Following presentations from the leadership at HPD, HDC, NYCHA and HCR, our delegation advised that now more than ever was the time to take proactive measures to engage our elected officials on a bipartisan basis and expand our coalition.
