Buoyed by Senator Schumer’s support last week, the #NoCuts Coalition organized a rally protesting $6 billion in proposed housing funding cuts in the Trump administration’s skinny budget last Thursday. The rally offered boisterous support from Congresswoman Velázquez and culminated in the arrest of Councilman Ritchie Torres and organizing leaders after blocking traffic on Broadway in an act of peaceful disobedience.
